The Yoga Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura chakra is the third chakra as we move along the spine. This is the chakra of personal empowerment, strength, and transformation. It is represented by the colour yellow and is located between the navel and the solar plexus.
Today’s practice works with your inner fire, which is cultivated in the solar plexus chakra, paving way for powerful personal transformation. This class maintains a strong focus on Sun Salutes and twist postures that original from the solar plexus region, just below the rib cage.
Beginning with an awakening meditation, this practice invites you to explore gentle seated twists as you awaken the spine and solar plexus region. Then, we move gently into a cat and cow series, initiating the ujjayi breath before moving through gentle, mindful Sun Salutes.
Throughout your practice, connect with your personal power, embracing what feels good for you and practicing independent agency – the ability to make choices rooted in self-love.
