Hi! I'm Krystal, pronouns she/they. Wow, I wonder if there's a new forum or something as I don't see any recent comments. I will give it a try anyways.
My first yoga class was at a local community college about 14 years ago (WOW haha) and it has stayed with me ever since. I was practicing on and off for a while now, trying to figure out a studio or place where I felt like I could belong. I gravitated to Yoga for Everyone because of its accessible alternatives, different teaching styles and BIPOC teachers.
I did my yoga teacher training in 2019 and I've only started to embrace my fears and worries and am taking the leap to start teaching. I didn't realize how much I engaged in self-betrayal until I started to examine my life and choices through the lens of yoga. Right now, I'm looking for a yoga mentor but I know the yoga mentor will find me when the time is right.
In the meantime, I will keep working on my own daily practice and my spiritual journey, allowing my dharma to unfold as it arises. I hope to share my enthusiasm for the practice and philosophy and support people on their journey of self-love, not only in my yoga classes, but in every interaction I have with others and myself.
Thanks for reading!
